Sometimes after a large Windows Update and after a reboot to complete the update the SQL Server Service doe not start, usually another reboot will fix this but it’s also possible just to start the service using the steps below
If you find that you get an error connecting to the SQL Server it’s possible the service has not started correctly, go to your machine running the SQL Server then
- Click the Windows Start button in the bottom left and type "Computer Management" then right click the resulting option and left click run as admin
- Expand "Services and Applications" by clicking the arrow indicated in the image below.
- Next click "Services".
- Go down the list and find and click to highlight "SQL SERVER" (the image shows many because i have several versions installed Yours should only show one).
- Finally right click "SQL SERVER" and choose "Start" it will take a moment to start the service then you should be able to open Myriad without issue.
