Our Technical Support team may ask you to turn on Diagnostics in your Myriad system. This works like a flight data recorder, and allows our support team to trace decisions and logic in Myriad.
Turning on diagnostics mode is straightforward and can be done with minimal steps.
1. Click the Settings menu, and choose Application Settings
2. Click Advanced. Under Diagnostics Logging, select Full:
3. Click OK.
You will need to quit and restart Myriad Playout for the changes to take effect.
Myriad will create a folder called 'DebugFiles' in your C: drive, containing the information to provide to our support team.
There is a small performance penalty that comes with running diagnostics. Once the issue has been resolved, you should switch diagnostic logging back off, to ensure Myriad runs at full performance.
